Luận án tiến sĩ này, do NGUYEN THI MIEN thực hiện tại Học viện Chính trị Quốc gia Hồ Chí Minh, tập trung vào phát triển nông nghiệp bền vững tại tỉnh Nam Định. Nghiên cứu nhằm đánh giá tình hình phát triển nông nghiệp bền vững của tỉnh giai đoạn 2006-2016 và đề xuất các giải pháp thúc đẩy phát triển nông nghiệp theo hướng bền vững đến năm 2030.

Luận án xây dựng cơ sở lý luận về phát triển nông nghiệp bền vững, bao gồm khái niệm, nội dung và tiêu chí đánh giá ở cấp tỉnh, cùng các yếu tố ảnh hưởng. Trên nền tảng lý thuyết này, nghiên cứu phân tích và đánh giá thực trạng phát triển nông nghiệp của Nam Định trong giai đoạn 2006-2016 trên ba khía cạnh chính: tăng trưởng nông nghiệp bền vững, giải quyết các vấn đề xã hội trong sản xuất nông nghiệp, và bảo vệ môi trường cùng thích ứng biến đổi khí hậu.

Các đóng góp mới của luận án bao gồm việc cung cấp cơ sở lý luận toàn diện, đánh giá khách quan về thành tựu và hạn chế, cùng với việc đề xuất các quan điểm, định hướng và năm nhóm giải pháp khoa học cho phát triển nông nghiệp bền vững của Nam Định đến năm 2030. Các giải pháp này tập trung vào nâng cao nhận thức, hoàn thiện quy hoạch và chính sách, nâng cao trình độ phát triển nông nghiệp, thúc đẩy liên kết sản xuất và tăng cường năng lực ứng phó với biến đổi khí hậu và hội nhập kinh tế quốc tế. Nghiên cứu cũng chỉ ra các cơ hội, thách thức và khó khăn trong quá trình phát triển này.
